Im Hinblick darauf erweitert Kristin Hecker in der vorliegenden Studie das Konzept der beruflichen Handlungskompetenz um spezielle pädagogische Kompetenzen und die „VEIT“ Formel. Mithilfe einer examine des äußerst komplexen und unüberschaubaren Übergangssystems gepaart mit der Sichtweise der in diesem Feld Tätigen entwickelt die Autorin ein Kompetenzprofil des Bildungspersonals, das dessen Aus- und Weiterbildung neu auszurichten vermag. Ein besonderer Fokus liegt hierbei auf dem notwendigen Ausbau pädagogisch-psychologischer, diagnostischer und didaktischer Kompetenzen, um damit auch einen Beitrag zur nachhaltigen Integration sozial Benachteiligter in das Bildungs und Berufssystem zu leisten.
